Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities are being showcased at the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair (KITF-2025), one of Central Asia’s key tourism events, taking place in Almaty from April 23 to 25.

Alongside the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, the country is represented by 11 local industry partners, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and the Shahdag Mountain Resort.

At the national stand, visitors are introduced to Azerbaijan’s tourism products and services, with a special focus on the tourism potential of the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions. In addition, an awareness campaign is being conducted as part of the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”.

During the exhibition, a meeting was held between Kenan Guluzade, Advisor to the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency, and Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and potential areas of cooperation.

The national stand was also visited by Agalar Atamoglanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It’s worth noting that in the first quarter of 2025, the number of visitors from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan increased by 10% compared to the same period last year.
